How University Students Party In Finland

Due to the fact that most people who have applied to study university in Finland have gotten their results whether they have been accepted or not. I decided to make a post for those who got accepted and have no idea what they are getting themselves into. If anyone studies in Finland, you will know how big the student life is. It gets REAL CRAZY.

In Finland, we have a student tradition that I still don't really know how it started, and when it started. I also believe (correct me if I am wrong) that Finland is the only country where students wear coveralls during parties, it's 'mandatory' after all.

Everyone who is in University will own their very own coveralls, every degree programme and every University will have their own colors of coveralls, the colors are a way to differentiate who belongs to which University and what they are studying. Once you get your coveralls it comes with a set of rules you must follow, which you will be more familiar with later on in the post. No one ever has the same looking coverall due to the fact that every student decorates their coveralls differently, whether it be with patches, stuffed animals, condoms hanging around, shot glasses, everything you can possibly think of.

Dr Martens Will Be The Death Of Me

I ordered myself a pair of Dr Martens a couple days ago and it has finally arrived! But, holy moly, my ankle was in so much pain after walking in them for the whole day. It's not like I did not expect to get blisters, since that's what you usually get with most new shoes but, I did not expect it to be this bad. I probably wore them for a good 20 mins and my right ankle already started crying red tears. And me being me, I continued to wear them anyways for the next 7 hours. Someone send help! By the end of the night I was already limping home, and got a couple of weird looks on the way which I should have saw coming. I'm praying I will break in my boots really, really soon or Dr Martens might be the death of me.

Why do I Blog?

This might as well be one of those random posts that possibly has no meaning what so ever.

At times, I question myself why do I even have a blog. I don't post as often as other bloggers either. I think it's the fact that I enjoy editing my blog and making it look pretty. I don't do it for the readers, I do it for my own pure enjoyment, it's a form of creativity that I enjoy and spend tons of time on.

Weekend in Turku

I went to Turku this weekend to visit my family and friends, one of my friends birthday was on the same weekend as well. So what better to do than a ''What I did during the weekend'' post! I didn't take as many pictures that I thought I did... or well pictures that were blog worthy.

The last time I was in Turku was probably around a month ago and oh how I have missed my parents and that super annoying little teenage brother I have. Also, I was eating food that was edible which doesn't really seem to be the case for me nowadays. I must admit it does feel kind of weird being back home even though I haven't been gone for that long yet. My parents treat me like royalty... making sure everything was alright and treating me 100x better. Not that they don't treat me well in general, but you get what I mean. ;)

Reality Hit Me Hard

Those who don't know, I have moved out on my own for the very first time. And as you can see from the title reality has hit me hard. Before I moved out, my parents did my washing, I never had to cook for myself, never had to clean the dishes and many other things that I should have known how to do before moving out.

10 Days In Budapest

I traveled to BUDAPEST! I went to Budapest starting the beginning of August with my best friend. So why are you only posting now? well, I am only posting about it now since I have been super busy with work and moving to Helsinki, I didn't have time to *cries*. Now that I finally have some free time, I'm going to take advantage of that to post this!

Can I just add that we went when there was a heat wave and... oh lord save me. I was dripping with sweat daily and the unbearable heat was hell. I come from Finland where our summers are usually 18-25 degrees and over 25 degrees on a good day so I was not use to this heat. Although near the end of our trip I started slowly adjusting to the heat.

4 Ways To Get Back Up After Failure

I failed my driving test twice and passed on my third try. Yes, I know there's people out there who have failed way more times than me... But it still feels like crap. I was so ready to give up and quit after my second fail. ''I can't do this'' ''I'm never going to pass'' ''I Suck'' ''I'm such a failure''. All these negative thoughts were running through my head and I cried for days. I was so gutted.

Failing sucks.
